Celebrating TEAM ASM Runners at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon

We cheered on our incredible TEAM ASM runners as they took on the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. This year, 40 dedicated runners joined our team and raised more than $73,000 (and counting!) for Chicago teens! Through gifts and sponsorships from friends, family, colleagues, and companies, our runners raised critical funds that help support our mission to connect young people in Chicago with engaging after-school and summer programs.  

Since 2016, more than 150 runners have dedicated their miles to TEAM ASM, raising more than $200,000 to support our teens and their programs.  

A Partnership Rooted in Community Impact 

Our success wouldn’t be possible without our long-standing partnership with Bank of America. Their support has been vital to our fundraising efforts. Through their sponsorship of the annual Chicago Marathon and their commitment to After School Matters’ summer internships, Bank of America has played a crucial role in making a difference for our teens.

Each dollar raised directly impacts the teens in our programs. Whether it’s purchasing guitar strings, furnishing tools for jewelry-making programs, providing teen stipends, or covering the costs of transportation for field trips, these funds are put to work enriching the lives of Chicago’s youth.

Joining TEAM ASM goes beyond just crossing the finish line, you become part of a community dedicated to raising funds for the future of Chicago’s youth. Throughout the training process, runners bond with their teammates through group runs, access to free physical therapy, and our annual pre-race luncheon. On race day, the ASM community is always out in full force, cheering on our runners as they realize their goal of completing a marathon!
