77 NEIGHBORHOODS COLLECTION
Cyanotypes are one of the oldest photographic printing processes in history, known for their striking blue and white contrasts. Teens in ASM’s Experimental Film Photography program practice this method each session, using different subjects to create their unique photographs.
TEENMADE’S 77 Neighborhoods Collection features a premium-quality hoodie and tote bag, both showcasing film photography shot entirely by high school teens in After School Matters’ Experimental Film Photography program. The photos, captured at various locations around Chicago, highlight the unique life, culture, and character of the city’s 77 community areas as seen through the lens of a young person.
The Cyanotype Hoodie features several of these teens’ original photographs taken around Chicago, collaged into a wearable piece of art. Due to high demand, we restocked this piece in Winter of 2026.
The Darkroom Tote Bag embodies the character of black and white film. Film photography is beloved for its ability to evoke a sense of nostalgia. This photo and accompanying statement by teen artist Simone S. captures a candid moment of summertime frolic and youthful innocence at the Crowne Fountain in Millennium Park, one of Chicago’s most iconic landmarks.
