Our condolences go to the family of our Advisory Board member Mike Evangelides, who passed away on August 19, 2023. Mike was a strong advocate for After School Matters and our teens, in addition to being a truly wonderful person. He was the first to volunteer and encourage others to join in the effort at hand. As a partner at Deloitte Consulting, he lent his considerable expertise to ASM on a variety of matters, including as a sponsor of our annual Gala.
In addition to his work on our Advisory Board, Mike served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Medical Center in Chicago and on the Board of the Civic Consulting Alliance of Chicago and the Alma College President’s Advisory Council. He formerly served on the Board of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.
He will truly be missed by so many, but his indelible mark on our city is a testament to his belief in Chicago’s youth.
